Fourteen years later comes this new direct-to-streaming flick which lacks its predecessor in creativity with derivative visuals and nondescript voice talent, occasionally funny moments but only briefly heartwarming; like running it through a washing machine three or four times and then faxed it back out again - its primary function being used as an infomercial for another streaming series called Megamind Rules which will premiere sometime soon on home screens this month!

When the movie opens, Megamind is going after criminals dressed like fish - yet stops to admire that action and comment that "it would have been something the evil me would have done back in his heyday. Sometimes I miss that simpler time..." He eventually admits "Sometimes I miss those simpler days.

The humor has improved in some areas, but the majority is the same. It's largely juvenile, and lacking the wit that was present in the original. Nighty-Knight is the only redeeming feature, with less secretreentime, and more edgy jokes. There is also a curious lack of romance, despite Roxanne and Megamind being discussed in only one episode.
