Actor Siddharth was promoting his upcoming movie ‘Chikku Full Movie Download’ on Thursday, September 28 in Bengaluru when members of an alleged pro-Kannada group disrupted the event and created a ruckus. Reportedly, they stopped the event midway and asked the actor to cancel it. As reported by the news agency ANI, the members told Siddharth that it is not the ‘right time’ for him to promote his movie as Karnataka is battling over the Cauvery water with Tamil Nadu.

A video of the incident has also surfaced on social media. In the video, the members of pro-Kannada group can be seen protesting against the event. While Siddharth remain seated calmly in the beginning, he then stood up, thanked everyone with folded hands and walked out. Watch it here:
